On May 16th, 2026, Harold Mason "Doc" Long, born August 10th, 1954, embarked on his next journey, leaving behind a trail of love, laughter, and cherished moments. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Long, and son, Bruce Kenny Long, as well as two brothers, Bill Long and James Long, and sister Mildred Hale. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. QC and Ethel Hensley Long, welcomed him home. 

Doc's legacy shines through his daughter, Heather Redding, grandson Jordan Meilich (Baylee), granddaughters Avery and Alaina, and great-grandson Maverick Meilich. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Sheila Long, a special friend, Bobbie Cooper, a sister Rebecca Faye Bach, a brother Marvin Long, and great aunt, Nancy Hensley as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a retired employee of Dreisbach Wholesale Florists. 

Doc's love and kindness continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew him.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Charles Long and Pastor Johnny Friend officiating.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Doug Hale, Bill Hale, John Elleman, Dave Corman, Troy DeShon, Jim Devine, and Jerry Long.
