Gloria S. Anderson, 90, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Landmark of Lancaster. She was born on April 20, 1933 in Garrard County, KY to the late Willard and Dorothy Woods Anderson.

Gloria was a faithful member and usher at St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church in Lancaster for many years.

Surviving are four sons, Jimmy Lee Anderson (Stephanie) of Oklahoma, Don Anderson of Owensboro, KY, Freddy Anderson (Anna) of Oklahoma, and John Anderson of Lancaster, KY; a brother, William Anderson (Theresa) of Richmond, KY; a sister, Ella Bell Kavanaugh of Lancaster, KY; grandchildren, Joshua Anderson, Blake Anderson, Chad Anderson, and Anthony Anderson; great grandchildren, Anthony Anderson Jr., Amarie Anderson, and Alex Anderson.

Gloria along with her parents was preceded in death by two brothers, Calvin and Jr. Anderson; and four sisters, Jeanette Huffman, Vernetta Beasley, Dorothy M. Humber, and Jewell Anderson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday.

Burial will be in Duncantown Cemetery in Lancaster, KY.

Active pallbearers are James Humber Jr., Arthur Humber, Tyrell Anderson, Ricky Kavanaugh, Jaywade Kavanaugh, and Henry Huffman.

Honorary pallbearers are James Warren, Gary McPherson, Chester Kavanaugh, Ricky McPherson, William Hocker, and James Black.
