Glenda Joyce Sharp, 81, of Lancaster, passed away August 21, 2021 at Landmark of Lancaster. She was born on July 19, 1940 to the late Claude and Nora Lee Black Perkins. Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sharp.
Glenda was a loving and caring person, who retired as a teacher/nurse’s aid from Camp Dick Elementary, where she was dearly loved by many. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Pam Fathergill (Mike) of Lancaster and Lee Ann Greene (Rodney) of Moreland; two grandsons, Chris Fathergill (Joy) and Justin Greene (Jessica), both of Lancaster; great grandchildren, Aden and Abigail Fathergill and Corbin and Norah Greene; a sister, Doris Perkins of Lancaster and two brothers, Claude Edward Perkins (Gee Gee) of Harrodsburg and David Perkins (Jane) of Lancaster.
Funeral services will be 2pm Friday, August 27, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Fred Willett officiating. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12pm-2pm Friday.
Pallbearers will be Chris Fathergill, Justin Greene, Aden Fathergill, Mike Sharp, Eddie Sharp, and Tom Drew.
Honorary pallbearers will be Abigail Fathergill, Corbin Greene, and Norah Greene.
Memorial contributions are preferred to Pleasant Grove Christian Church 762 Ky Hwy 34 Lancaster, Kentucky 40444.
