Garry League, 65, of Lancaster, passed away December 4, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy. Garry was born on October 10, 1956 in Boyle County to the late Paul German and Elizabeth Wilson League.
Garry was very strong in his faith and was a member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church. He loved hunting, gardening and raising angus beef cattle. Garry also took honor in his Cherokee heritage. He loved family. Garry had a gift of making people smile and laugh.
Also surviving are four brothers, Russell League (Linda) of Casey County, Glenn Clark (Sara) of Mt. Sterling, Chris Camden (Brenda) of Morehead and Daniel Camden of Louisville; sisters, Judy Hurt (Bill) of Lancaster, Beth Durham (David) of Lancaster and Janice Rigsby (Billy Joe) of Lancaster, Jennie Hettrick (Brian) of Danville and Crystal Camden (Adam) of Harrodsburg.
Garry was preceded in Death by his son, John “Tyler” League.
Garry had many fond memories of his past years working at Whirlpool / Matsushita and Lextran where some of his co-workers became lifelong friends.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Browning officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be: Danny League, Glenn Clark, Chris Camden, Ryan League, Terry Reed and Daniel Camden.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Russell League, Tom Camden and all of Tyler's friends who have cared and loved Garry for all of these years.
