Garland Burdette

Garland Burdette, 65, of Fayette County, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Monday June 3, 2019 at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.

He was born on September 10, 1953 in Garrard County, KY to the late A.B. and Carrie Mae Tevis Burdette. 

Garland retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington after 15 years in the dietary department.

He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Surviving is a sister, Audrey Johnson of Lexington; two nephews, Eric Johnson(Allisha) of Georgetown and Richard Johnson(Ashley) of Lexington; three great nephews, Jaylen Johnson, Peyton Johnson and Bryce Johnson, and two great nieces, Bree Johnson and Chloe Johnson. Also surviving are many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday June 8, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 12:00 PM until time of the service. 

Burial will be in Duncantown Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Wayne Glenn, Michael Adair, Terry Brookes, Jamie Harris, Bruce Warren and Boyd Marx.
