Floyd "Homer" Kincaid, 90, of Garrard County, Kentucky passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at his home in Lancaster.  He was born on June 28, 1934 in Perry County, Kentucky to the late Roscoe and Gertrude McPherson Kincaid.  Homer was an independent flooring contractor for many years in Lexington.  He was a hard worker, an outdoorsman and loved to garden and hunt.  He was a sports fan and  especially enjoyed watching his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren's sporting events.  He was also a big  UK basketball fan. Homer was also known for his  sense of humor and love for animals. He was a devoted father who loved and took great delight in his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Georgia Louise Conley Kincaid, brother James Kincaid, sister Stella Graves, granddaughter Kelli Kincaid, great grandson, Brady Kincaid, and great granddaughters Alexis and Alivia Towe.   Homer is survived by four sons, Ralph Kincaid (Connie) of Richmond, David Kincaid (Charlotte) of Gulfport, Florida, Barry Kincaid (Becky) of McDonough, Georgia, Gary Kincaid (Barbara) of Nicholasville, and daughter Karlene Kincaid of Lancaster.

Surviving grandchildren are Sarah Gilliam-Kincaid, Crystal Towe (Deuce), Collin Kincaid (Caitlin), Cassie Beach (Matt), Laura Summers (Michael), Ross Kincaid, Patrick Reeves, and Carey Rose.  Surviving great grandchildren are Alexander Atwater, Aaron Atwater, Sierra Kincaid, Pacer Kincaid, Christian Kincaid, Cooper Beach, Connor Beach, Kara Kincaid, Christa Kincaid, Corban Kincaid, Chloe Kincaid, Caleb Kincaid, Cody Kincaid, Rylan Summers, Emma Summers, Ellie Summers.  Also one great-great granddaughter Kensley Kincaid.

A memorial service will be held on November 26 at 11 am at Forks of Dix River Baptist Church in Lancaster, Kentucky with Rev. Jerry Browning officiating.

In leiu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.
