Fannie Grimes, 78, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday August 8, 2020 at Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill. Fannie was born on May 18, 1942 in Lincoln County, KY to the late Alex and Bertha Roark Helton.
She worked at the White Barn Restaurant and Smiths Restaurant in Lancaster for many years.
Fannie was a member of Pentecostal Fellowship Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Pam Wethington(Mickey) of Liberty and Teresa Grimes of Lancaster; a sister, Juanita Davis of Lexington; three grandchildren, Dustin Phillips of Junction City, Nikki Smith of Liberty, and Shannon Wethington of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren, Hadley Phillips, Izzy Phillips, Aubrey Wethington, and Landyn Wethington. Also surviving is the Extended Wethington Family of Liberty, KY.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Phillips; three sisters, Jonetta Helton, Margaret Portwood, and Lucy Pennington; and four brothers, Alex Helton Jr., Forest Helton, Russell Helton, and Reed Helton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday August 10, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster with Pastor Jim Cook officiating . Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dustin Phillips, Amber Phillips, Nikki Smith, Shannon Wethington, Jenna Wethington, and Gina Lowery.
Honorary pallbearers are John Smith and Canie Lowery
