Elida "Mona" Elizondo Araiza, 69, of Lancaster, KY was born December 9, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas. She was the oldest of eight children born from the union of Timoteo P. and Isabel (Elizondo) Araiza.
Elida grew up in Monroe Michigan and lived the last few years of her life in Lancaster, KY with her brother, Roy and family.
She enjoyed relaxing outside, spending time with family, eating good food, shopping, working on puzzles, coloring pictures, and working word searches in her free time.
Elida passed away at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY on February 15, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tim and Isabel, a brother, Johnny Araiza, sister-in-law, Betty Araiza, and a brother-in-law, Dennis Reilly.
She leaves behind six siblings, Olga Sanders, George (Janie) Arazia, Syliva (Jesse) Castillo, Sally (Rick) Sulfaro, Roy Araiza, Isabel Reilly, a sister in law, Teresa Araiza, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
