Dwayne A. Nave, 61, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at his daughter’s home, surrounded by those who loved him dearly.
He is proceeded in death by his father Glenn C. Nave and his sister Glenda F. Banta. He is survived by his mother Juanita Nave of Nicholasville; his sister Debbie (James) Smith of Richmond; his two daughters, Tiffanie (Josh) Toler and Brittanie (David) Nalley, both of Lancaster; three grandsons, Tristin Toler, Brantley Snow, and Carson Toler; two granddaughters, Raelynn Nalley and Bridgette Nalley; his loving ex-wife Linda Lamb of Lancaster (although divorced, their love for each other remained); and several nieces and one nephew.
Dwayne proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He also proudly served his hometown of Garrard County, holding many titles including EMT, Firefighter, 911 operator, Deputy Coroner, Emergency Management Director, and CSEPP Director. He was a Bluegrass Airport police officer, and was also owner and operator of Nave Home Improvement.
Dwayne will be laid to rest on Monday, July 21, 2025 at 1:00pm in Lancaster Cemetery with a full military and first responder honors. Bro. Daryl Hodge will officiate with Sammy Marsee and Colby Arnold speaking.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Phillips, Josh Toler, David Nalley, Brittanie Nalley, Wanda Shelton and Dexter Knight.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tristin Toler, Brantley Snow, Carson Toler, Raelynn Nalley, Colby Reik, Robert Cole, Tyson Macualey and Chase Wheeler.
