Dorothy Shockley Obituary

Dorothy Shockley, 97, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Landmark of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Burt. Dorothy was born on April 27, 1923 in Garrard County, KY to the late Rufus and Lilly Ray Adams.

She worked at Palm Beach Manufacturing as a seamstress for many years. Dorothy enjoyed finding antiques and going to yard sales.

She was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church.

Surviving is a son, Jerry Shockley of Garrard County; a granddaughter, Jamie Patrick(David) of Harrodsburg; a brother, Virgil Adams; and great grandchildren, Benjamin Chapman, and Conner Patrick.

Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Adams, Sam Adams, and a sister, Ann Baker.

Services will be private.
