Donald M. Howard, 83, of Stanford, passed away Sunday February 12, 2023 at Baptist Hospital in Lexington. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marilyn Jean Moeller Howard. Don was born on May 28, 1939 in Madison County, KY to the late Newland and Beulah Mae Taylor Howard. 

Also surviving are two daughters, Becky (Justin) Doolin of Lancaster and Joy (Bruce) Clevenger of Marietta, GA; a granddaughter, Becca (Hunter) Blackford of Frankfort, Kentucky and step-grandson, Baylee Doolin of Lancaster, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Thursday February 16, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday February 15, 2023 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Hunter Blackford, Zach Howard, Colton Howard, Justin Doolin, Ronald Howard, and Terry Wilson.

Honorary Pallbearers are Bruce Clevenger, Holton and Nancy Howard, Harry Dean and Shirley Howard, Bruce and Carletta Carpenter, Jim and Maude Ann Barrett, Baylee Doolin, Jeff Hinson, Rodney Hinson, Gene Goode, John Smith, Barry Davis, Billy Lanham, and Marcia Kay Laird.
