Donald Carl Clayborn, 75, of Lancaster, passed away December 18, 2022 at his home. He was born June 8, 1947 in Highland, Kentucky to the late Louis Elam and Edna Duncan Clayborn. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Janet Jones Clayborn.
Donald was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and worked for Ford Motor Company for more than 30 years. He was the Pastor of Calvary Bible Church in Louisville, followed the calling to Cornerstone church in Danville, and most recently, he was the associate pastor of Lancaster First Assembly.
He is survived by his son, Harold Clayborn (Khadra) of Murray, and his daughters: Jennifer Clayborn (Karen) of Ft. Wright, Mary King (Byron) of Harrodsburg, and Charity Bowles (Jonathan) of Richmond; his siblings, Clinton Clayborn (Sylvia) of South Carolina and Clara Houp of Highland; his grandchildren: Bradley Stewart, Jason Stewart, David Honaker, Andrew Pike, Gracyn King, Jonathan Bowles, Jr., Andrew Clayborn, Caleb Clayborn, Wyatt Bowles, Sammy Clayborn, and Jaimie Lessard; and his great-grandchildren, Miah Cheatham, Sawyer Honaker, Kyren Honaker, and Addyson Lessard.
Donald is preceded in death by siblings, Chester Clayborn, Granville Clayborn, Eugene Clayborn, Claudie Mae Conger, Charles Clayborn, Jean Higgins and Braxton Clayborn.
Funeral services will be 2pm December 21, 2022 at Lancaster First Assembly with Bro. Harold Clayborn and Pastor Wendell Johnson officiating. Burial in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8pm, Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Lancaster First Assembly.
Pallbearers will be Byron King, Jonathan Bowles, David Honaker, Jason Stewart, Andrew Pike, Andrew Clayborn, Eric Stull, and Billy Houp.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob and Lynn Dailey, Denis and Margaret Montooth, Sue McKnight, Renee Wilson, and Bradley Stewart.
