David Scott Honaker

David Scott Honaker, 48, of Nicholasville, passed away Friday, May 5, 2023 in Jessamine County.  He was born on October 22, 1974 in Danville, KY to Jody Lynn McCollum(Billy Ray) and the late David H. Honaker. 

David had a career as a very talented welder. He enjoyed many hobbies including, drawing, tinkering with stereo speakers, and weightlifting. David had a wonderful personality, and above all loved his family.

David was a member of Cartersville Holiness Church.

Surviving is his loving wife, Audrey Honaker of Nicholasville; his mother, Jody McCollum (Billy Ray) of Lancaster; a daughter, Breanna Eskridge(Stephen) of Nicholasville; a step son, Dylan Dunaway(Leah) of Nicolasville; four brothers, Tony Honaker of Lexington, Steve McCollum (Michelle) of Garrard County, Kevin McCollum of Tennessee, and Keith McCollum (Carrie) of Lexington; a sister, Tina Lynn McCollum of Mercer County; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, JB and Hattie Lynn; and paternal grandparents, Clifford Honaker and Birde Pulliam.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Robinson and Bro. Bruce Alcorn officiating.

Burial in Parksville Cemetery following the service.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the funeral home with an additional visitation from 10:00 am until service time.

Pallbearers are Tony Honaker, Steve McCollum, Kevin McCollum, Keith McCollum, Brian Carrier, and Stephen Eskridge.
