Dallas Carpenter, 68, of Lancaster, passed October 19, 2021 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was born on October 9, 1953 to the late Jimmie D. and Lucy Conn Carpenter.
Dallas was a farmer and worked as a mechanic for Wade Motor Company and John Clay Chevrolet for many years. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, and watching John Wayne movies.
Surviving is a son, Eric Carpenter of Lancaster, three daughters, Katrena Collins (Robert) of Shelbyville, Crystal Carpenter of Lancaster, and Billie Jean Maddix of Nicholasville; brothers, Tony Carpenter (Judy), Jerry Carpenter (Pam), and Bobby Joe Carpenter (Sherry); sisters, Delores Hatfield (Jerry) and Sheila Adams (Kendall), all of Lancaster and grandchildren, Austin Collins, Bailey Goins, Kimberly Collins, Dakota Goins, Dylan Collins, and Luke Carpenter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Lee Collins and two brothers, Billy and Buddy Carpenter.
Funeral services will be 3pm Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick, Kentucky. Visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 4-7pm.
Pallbearers will be Nick Eneix, Bailey Goins, Dylan Collins, Austin Collins, Robert Collins, Dakota Goins, Scott Tuggle, and Steven Goins.
