Curtis Grider, 82, of Jaycee Park Rd. Lancaster, passed away Sunday March 23, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington KY. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Dorothy. Curtis was born on September 29, 1931 in Liberty KY to the late Jesse and Willie Sowder Grider.
Curtis worked for William Teater & Company for over 40 years. He was a former member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church where he served in alot of roles, including Training Union Director for over 35 years. He was a avid fisherman, and loved his University of Kentucky Wildcats. Above all Curtis loved spending time with his wife and family. He was a member of Blue Lick Baptist Church.
Also surviving are two daughters Kathy Johnica(Ray) and Linda East both of Stanford KY; a sister Nola Carman of Lancaster; four grandchildren Belinda Vance(Chris) of Lancaster, Aimee Arnold(Nathan) of Lancaster, Wesley East and Will East of Stanford KY; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday March 26, 2014 at Spurlin Funeral Home Lancaster with Bro. Wayne Stephens officiating. Visitation 6-9 PM Tuesday. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Military Honors will be performed by Caswell Saufley Post #18 American Legion.

Honorary pallbearers are James R. Teater, Jimmy Dale Naylor, Terri Teater, Gary Lanham, Mike & Terri Feldman, Neal Carrier, Harold Carrier, Tommy Gill, Donnie Ray, and the Men's Sunday School Class at Blue Lick Baptist Church.
Visitation: Tuesday March 25, 2014 6-9 PM
Funeral: Wednesday March 26, 2014 11:00 AM
Interment: Camp Nelson National Cemetery
