Clinton Vernon Wilson, 75, of Garrard County, passed away February 23, 2022 at his home. He was born on August 25, 1946 in Boyle County to the late Essley and Nettie McQuerry Wilson. Clinton is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judy Peavler Wilson.
Clinton retired from IBM. He was a talented woodworker and farmer. Clinton was a faithful member of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Judy; daughter, Katrina Wilson of Lancaster; two brothers, Harold Wilson of Danville and Danny Wilson (Aquitta) of Hustonville, a sister, Barbara Ellis (Eugene) of Hustonville; four grandchildren, Brittney Browning, Bryan Browning, Cory Paxton Wilson (Erin) and Brandi Wilson; and great grandchildren, Briley Chambers, Jaden Chambers, Baleigh Wilson, Masey Sherman, Clinton Asher Browning and Carter Paxton Wilson.
Clinton is preceded in death by a son, Clinton Paxton Wilson and a great grandchild, Kason Chambers.
Funeral services will be 1pm Monday, February 28, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Browning, Bro. Dwayne Dasher, and Bro. Bill Rhodus officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 27, 2022 from 5-9pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church, Corey Wilson and Bryan Browning.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold and Danny Wilson, Upward Bound Sunday School Class and Sunshine Group of Forks of Dix River Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Forks of Dix River Baptist Church Building Fund or Los Brazos de Dios Mission Fund.
