Carolyn Faye Preston, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born August 27, 1945 in Rockcastle County, Kentucky. Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Kinnard Preston.  

She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church, a homemaker and caregiver. She kept her hands busy with crossword puzzles and crocheting. Faye also enjoyed collecting “what-nots” and was a lover of animals.

Surviving is a son, Ricky Preston (Dona) of Lancaster, a daughter, Christy Tudor (John) of Lancaster; grandchildren, Haley (Logan) Davis, Ryan Houp, Mark (Jesse) Preston, Kevin Preston, Britny (Justin) Feezor, Nici Duncan, Jordan Burney, Morgan (Jamie) Kurtz; fourteen great-grandchildren, Larissa Davis, Harlyn Davis, Charlotte Davis, Laken Ellison, Payton Price, Eli Hall, Ava Feezor, Ethan Carr, Austin Carr, Jaxon Duncan, Isley Jones, Tatum Desantis, Weston Kurtz and Abby Clary; 1 great-great grandchild, Berkley Carr; and a sister, Freda Preston of Danville. 

Faye was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kinnard, numerous siblings and a grandchild, Dylan Preston.

A visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Spurlin Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at Danville Memorial Gardens on Friday.
