Brenda Kay Rice, 65, of Lancaster, passed away November 6, 2022 at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford, KY.   She was born on February 1, 1957 in Leslie County, KY to the late Bradley and Elsie Hoskins North. 

Surviving is her loving husband, Baird Rice III of Lancaster; a son, Barry Rice(Sheryl) of Lancaster; a grandson, John Baird Rice; three sisters, Jo Anna Smith of Georgetown, Rosetta Howard of Asher, KY, and Chesna Grose of Hazard, KY; an aunt Patsy Morgan of Lexington, Ky and several nieces,nephews, and great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly .

Brenda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother that loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson John who was her pride and joy. She also loved anything to do with flowers, hummingbirds and nature.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday November 10, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:00 am until service time. 

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Jon Collett , David Williams, Kent Cornett, Alex Caldwell, Jeffrey True, Jimmy Rice, Joseph Adams.
