I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bonnie at Palomar and Beaumont. She was my nurse and always helped me when I had a pediatric patient that needed extra care. She was wonderful and will be greatly missed. She loved her family especially her grandkids so much.

We were born two days apart. I have loved you as my dear cousin ever since. We could go for months or years without seeing each other and pick up right where we left off. We shared little girl giggles, then dreams and now a temporary parting. John, thank you for loving Bonnie. Laurie, Nathan and Gracie, make her proud because she adored you so.

Bonnie~
I certainly don't know where to start. For years you were "the person" when the kids where sick. You loved them, hugged them and celebrated all the big ups and downs.....Including coming to cattle shows!
You were an extended family member--the one that told mom and dad it was OK to be frustrated, the ones the kids wanted when they were sick, and the one they couldn't wait to share the "big thing" with at yearly checkups. You advocated, and loved every child you cared for---and we will always be grateful for the love and guidance that you gave both parents and kids.
While we will miss you on this earthly home I certainly can't wait for you to watch my kiddos, and celebrate when we both hit our heavenly home.
John and kids---Thank you for sharing your wife and mother with us! I certainly know your heartbroken, much more than we are. May the lord guide you in the days ahead as we celebrate your mom's life and the difference she made for so many.

Bonnie Schneider Goodwin-Cox - where do I begin? For as long as I can remember, you were the boys’ nurse. But you were so much more...
Even after you retired, we were lucky enough to find you at the clinic when we would come in. We would go months without seeing you, which was always good because it meant the boys weren’t sick. But rest assured, when we did come in, you were always “happy” to see them and could always tell just how sick they really were. For me, you were a trusted care giver - you listened to all that I told you, told me I was doing everything right. I’ll tell you, if anyone could handle FOUR little boys in one exam room, it was you!!
I remember the care you took teaching yourself how to best do the nasal flu swabs so you could do them easily on all your kids. Little bits of advise, like eating chocolate with some meds, seemed so simple but made our lives that much easier.
After you retired, I remember hearing your voice as you called one of the boys back, and my excitement that I got to see you! And the doctor saying how happy you were when you got to see your older kids. You were always just a phone call away.
Rest easy Bonnie - I know you will still watch over all of your kids!

I've known Bonnie since before we had our drivers license, over 56 years ago. She was always my close friend and cherished buddy. I surely will miss her even though it had been over 45 years since I last saw her until she stopped by to see Barb and I last summer when she was in Louisville. My sincere condolences to the family. She was a wonderful person..
