Bobby Slone, 71, of Garrard County, passed away July 2, 2020 in Ohio. He was born in Pippa Passes, Kentucky on April 27, 1949 to Opal Slone and the late Ransom Slone. Bobby is survived by his "Sweetie" of 31 years, Kimberly Slone of Nicholasville.
Bobby was a coal miner, truck driver, and business owner. Although his most important role being a loving husband, dad, papaw, brother, and friend to all. Bobby will be affectionately remembered for his sense of humor, love of a simple life, good cup of coffee, and Kentucky Wildcats‘ basketball and football #1 fan. Bobby never knew a stranger; always met with a smile and kind word of advice, especially to Coach Calipari — who he would often GIVE GUIDANCE.
Surviving are two sons, Christopher Slone of Berea and Daniel Slone (Sydney) of Berea; a daughter, Amanda Adams (Devin) of Lancaster; brothers, Donnie Slone, Kenneth Slone (Kimberly) and Michael Slone; sisters, Patty Ratliff (Wally), Paula Slone and Pam Slone; grandchildren, Ashton Hall (Caleb), Noah Slone, Blake Slone, Brayden Adams and Brooklyn Adams; great-grandchildren, Bryer Fuqua and Brantley Hall and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Daniel Slone.
Funeral services will be 2PM Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Stuart Dawson officiating. Visitation will be from 1PM until service time Wednesday. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Daniel, Blake and Noah Slone, Devin Adams, Brayden Adams, Brandon Rutherford and Caleb Hall.
