Bobby Eugene Newton

Bobby Eugene Newton, 87, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022 at VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY.
Bobby was born on August 3, 1934 in Perry County, KY to the late William and Mary Lynch Newton.

He served for our country in the United States Army. Bob worked for over 30 years for US Steel, He was a bus driver for KSD for 10 years and was a bus driver for Garrard County for 10 years as well.

Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years, Theresa Newton of Lancaster; three sons, John Newton of Lancaster, Carl Newton of Pennsylvania, and Gary Newton (Carol) of Pennsylvania; two brothers, Harold Newton of KY and Leon Newton of Texas; five grandchildren, Lauren Newton, Andrea Newton, Katie Newton, Michael Newton, and Jeremy Newton.

Bobby along with his parents was also preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Charles, John, Ray, and a sister, Provie Newton.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday June 9, 2022 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Browning officiating.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, KY.
