Billy Sebastian

Billy Sebastian, 83, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday February 14, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 14, 1939 in Garrard County, KY to the late Everett O’Neal Sebastian and Gladys Barnes Carroll. 

Billy served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and continued to serve our country for over 20 years. He served on the Lancaster City Police Force for 10 years where he also was Chief of Police, and he had a life long love of motorcycles. 

He was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Danville, KY.

Surviving is his loving wife, Deborah Sebastian of Lancaster; a son, Billy E. Sebastian (Breah) of Moreland; four daughters, Deborah Monroe of Tennessee, Rhonda Selvey (Dennis) of Arkansas, Angela Bowen of Lancaster, and Jennifer Maddox (Michael) of Lancaster; a brother, Lloyd Sebastian (Linda) of Lancaster; two sisters, Georgia Meyer of Florida and Mary Etta Henry of Lancaster; twenty grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Billy along with his parents was preceded in death by a daughter Teresa Pikey, a great-granddaughter, Ashlyn Bradshaw, a brother Everett O’Neal Sebastian and a sister in law, Lois Sebastian.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Wednesday February 22, 2023 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James McCarroll officiating. 

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday February 21, 2023 at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY.

Pallbearers are Dalton Sebastian, Tyler Maddox, Hayden Maddox, Landen Maddox, David Thacker, and Joseph Thacker.

Honorary pallbearers are Lloyd Sebastian, Joe Barker, Danny Cain, Dennis Selvy, Lewis long, and Delbert Long.
