Betty F. Arnold, 91, of Lancaster, passed away January 29, 2022 at her home. She is survived by her loving husband of 74 years, Logan "Buddy" Arnold, Jr. Betty was born in Garrard County on August 12, 1930 to the late Allene Jones Noel.
Betty worked for Mercer Dress, Cowdens and owned and operated Sew and Save in Lancaster with her mother, Allene and Lorraine Sherrow. She was a faithful and longtime member of Lancaster Baptist Church, where she was a training union teacher and a Sunday School Teacher for over 42 years. Betty was a Garrard County Fair Board and Garrard County Farm Bureau Board member. She was also a member of the New Seekers Homemakers Club and Co-Chairman of the Garrard County Tobacco Festival for years. Betty loved to cook, sew, and travel, but above all, adored her family and loved being a Grandmother.
Surviving are three daughters, Diana Ross of Lancaster, Montie Prewitt of Lancaster, and Linda Stratton (David) of Junction City; grandchildren, Michelle Smart, Terri Prewitt, Chris Stratton (Misty), Barry Prewitt (Natasha), Amy Bell (Steve) and Daniel Stratton (Amanda) and fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3pm Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Lancaster Baptist Church with Dr. Harold Best and Pastor Matt Cooke officiating. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 5-8pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Chris Stratton, Daniel Stratton, Barry Prewitt, Mickey Arnold, Jim Ross, and Jeff Curtis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ruth Tracy, John and Margie Barker, Betty Ross, Roy Gibson, John King, Billy Caudill, Linda Ray, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
