Bessie Glenn, 88, of Garrard County, departed this life on June 8, 2021 into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Charles Ernest Glenn and James R. Warmoth. Bessie was born on May 25, 1933 in Garrard County, KY to the late Harry and Myrtle Redwine Turner.
Bessie lived a full and blessed life here on this Earth. She enjoyed cooking and doing things for others. She collected cookbooks and enjoyed finding new recipe and cooking. Bessie loved her two children Donald and Linda. She was also a baby-sitter and loved each child as her own. Her most special of these children was RD Middleton. She loved him as her own child. Bessie loved her grandchildren and attended many activities just to watch them. Bessie never met a stranger. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Bessie was a member of Leavell Green Christian Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda Davis(Mike) of Danville; A special son, Ronald David Middleton(Bobi) of Lancaster; a sister, Janice Amon of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Donna Criss(Larry) and Stephanie Miller(Nick); nine great grandchildren, Laurel Criss, Allison Criss, Harley Walker, Natalie Miller, McKinley Miller, Michael David, Caleb Brogle, Jude Dalton, and Mary Blythe Middleton; Also surviving is a great-great grandchild, Brantley Anthony; and special friends, David and Debbie Middleton.
Along with her husband and parents, Bessie was preceded in death by a son, Donald Warmoth; five brothers, Charlie, Clyde, Bob, Richard, and Will Turner; three sisters, Ada Long, Margaret Ross, and Katie Prewitt; and a great grandchild, Roselyn Miller.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday June 12, 2021 at Spurlin Funeral Home of Lancaster with Bro. Harold Best officiating.
Visitation will be Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ronald David Middleton, Mike Davis, Larry Criss, Nick Miller, Ronnie Sparks, and Steve Amon.
Honorary pallbearers are the staff at Landmark of Lancaster.
