Anne Hammons Brogli, 88, of Lancaster, passed away Friday September 2, 2022 at The Willows in Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Herbert E. Brogli.
Anne was born on November 19, 1933 to the late Merrill and Nelle Rigsby Hammons of Lancaster.
Survivors also include one sister Jean Ratcliff of Walton; sons Herbert Brogli Jr. (Kathy) of Somerset, Martin Brogli (Rebekah), and Todd Brogli (Tina) of Lancaster. Anne is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her brothers Merrill Hammons Jr. and William Hammons; and one sister, Leila Hammons.
She began teaching in 1954 and retired from Lancaster Elementary in 1991. She continued to substitute teach and worked as a Title 1 teacher at Camp Dick Robinson until she retired again in 2017. Anne dedicated her life to educating students in Garrard County for more than six decades.
She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where she taught the Kindergarten Sunday School class for over 50 years.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday September 8th at Spurlin Funeral Home, Lancaster with Bro. Stephen Brogli officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers include Herbert Brogli Jr., Martin Brogli, Todd Brogli, Jeremy Brogli, Andrew Brogli, and Jared Brogli.
