Allen Hamner Obituary

Allen “Dale” Hamner, 81, of Lancaster, passed away July 8, 2024 in Danville, Kentucky. He was born on March 14, 1943 to the late James Herbert and Ima Lee Galliher Hamner. Dale is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Hamner. 


Dale was a veteran of the US Army and was a machinist for Trane for many years. He loved fishing and being on the lake. Dale enjoyed riding dirt bikes, playing cards and singing karaoke. 


Surviving are sons, Brian Hamner (Mary) of Georgetown and Wayne Collier of Lancaster; two daughters, Tina Mann (Steve) of Tennessee and Debra Wilson of Lancaster; a brother, Gene Hamner (Patsy) of Lancaster, sister, Kay Ward of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary Hamner, Zoe Hamner, Zane Hamner, Stephen Glovak, and Michael Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Alexis Wilson, Miranda Wilson, and Olivia Glovak. 


He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Delbert, Clifford, Louis, and Jimmy Hamner. 


A graveside service will be held at 11am at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Friday, July 12, 2024.
