Alan Ray Woods Obituary

Alan Ray Woods, 66, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday March 22, 2020 at VA Hospital in Lexington, KY. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Ann Woods. Alan was born on July 2, 1953 in Boyle County, KY to Dixie Barker Holman(Larry) of Lancaster and his late father, Ray Woods. 


Alan served our country in the United States Army. He was a salesman in the Automobile Industry.  Alan enjoyed many hobbies, including fishing and gardening.


Also surviving are two sons, Derrick Scofield of Danville, Brian Scofield(Nicole) of Pennslyvania; three daughters, Misty Woods Noble of Lancaster, Windy Woods of Lexington, and Delynn Morris of Lancaster; three brothers, Roger Woods(Vicki) of Nicholasville, Eddie Woods(Ginny) of Lancaster, and Darrell Townsend(Diane) of Monticello and a sister, Angie Holman(George) of Lancaster. Nine grandchildren, Bobbie Saylor, Noah Scofield, Sarah Scofield, Hannah Scofield, Sam Noble, Justin Morris, Kaylee Morris, Zach Scofield, and GiGi Scofield. Also surviving is his beloved fur baby, Snooki. 


A private immediate family funeral will be on Thursday March 26, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Carringer officiating. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
