Walter Cecil Cummins

Walter Cecil Cummins, 67, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday October 26, 2019 at his home. He was born in Boyle County on December 30, 1951 to the late Tom and Maudie Freeman Cummins. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Vivian Jo Proctor Cummins. 

He worked for Northfork Southern Railroad for many years and was a faithful member of Lancaster First Assembly of God. 

Surviving are his daughters, Cecilia Wright (Daniel) of Highland, Susan Cummins of Danville and Candace Cummins (Cody) of Lexington; brothers, Richard Cummins (Pat) of Lincoln County, Mike Cummins of Lancaster and Timmy Cummins (Emily) of Junction City; a sister, Gayle Potts (Hank) of Pennsylvania and grandchildren: Daniel Wright, Ryan Wright, Trentin Hall and Stewart Wofford. 

Walter is preceded in death by a son, Walter C. Cummins Jr., grandson, Tiler Hall and eight brothers and sisters. 

Funeral services 1PM Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Lancaster First Assembly of God with Pastor Wendell Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Monday, October 28, 2019 at the church. 

Pallbearers will be Daniel Wright, Ryan Wright, Trentin Hall, Cody Fox, Daniel Thomas Wright and Bob Dailey. 

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Lancaster First Assembly of God Church.
