Shirley Jean Kavanaugh Logan

Shirley Jean Kavanaugh Logan was born January 16, 1965 in Lancaster, KY to the late Henry Buford and Vernie Mare Kavanaugh. Shirley was raised by her grandmother Thelma Kavanaugh and Joemargret Elmore in Garrard County where she accepted Christ at an early age, was a member of St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church.

Shirley was a good hearted and kind person who enjoyed being with friends and shopping or window shopping as she often referred to it, Shirley was a hard-worker and loving mother to Vince E. Logan, Lexington, KY and Janea Logan, San Diego, California and one grand-daughter MaCee Logan, Lancaster, KY whom she was especially proud of.

She also leaves to mourn, one sister Margaret (Paul) VanDyke, Danville, KY, brother Russell Kavanaugh, Louisville, KY, brother Joe (Tina) Warren, Lancaster, KY, and three aunts, Linda Penman, Rose Ison, and Stella Buford. Shirley was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Kavanaugh ,Lucien E. Kavanaugh, and an uncle James Buford. Shirley will be greatly missed by a host of other nieces, nephews and friends, and to a special friend Ms. Alberta Smith and Ms. Rachel Newby.

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Spurlin Funeral Home In Lancaster. Burial will follow at Duncantown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of service. 

Pallbearers are Elvis Buford, James(Rob) Boatley, Rodney Penman, John Penman, Norman Pullins, and William Hocker.
