Ralph Murphy

Ralph Gordon Murphy, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at Landmark of Lancaster. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Trava Wilson Murphy.

Ralph was born on October 19, 1939 in Garrard County to the late Buford Murphy and Frances Daly Murphy.  
 
Ralph was a farmer and a retired IBM production supervisor.  He was a devoted son, husband and father and grandfather.  He was a member of Indian Hills Christian Church and Lancaster Lodge #104 for 40 years. 

His love of people has been displayed through University of Kentucky football, coaching baseball and enjoying golfing with longtime friends.

He leaves behind three sons, Thomas Alan Murphy, Nicholas Charles Murphy and Steve Kinnaird; two daughters, Jill Kinnaird and Glenda Murphy; grandchildren, Kasey Kinnaird , Jordan Murphy, Zack and Kasey Murphy, Alex and Autumn Murphy, and Katherine Murphy and great grandchildren, Oakley Murphy and Katalina Murphy. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday February 23, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday, February 22, 2019 at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Charlie Murphy, Zack Murphy, Alex Murphy, Jeff Daly, Matt Foley, and Doug Daly.

Honorary pallbearers are Andy Usery, John Clark, Manford Bolton, Tommy Tudor, Carlisle Stone, and Kenneth Plummer.
