Michael Askin Obituary
Michael Askin, 59, of Meadow Lake Dr. Lancaster, passed away Sunday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville KY. He is survived by his wife Darla. Michael was born March 20, 1955 to the late Marvin and Juanita Teegarden Askin.
He served for our country in the Air Force, and worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. Michael was a member of Milford Christian Church.
Also surviving are two sons Craig Askin(Heather) of Nicholasville and Wayne Phelps of California; three daughters Monica Askin Spencer(Steve) of Lancaster, Carrie Everts(Paul) of California, and Michele Cline of Mississippi; two brothers John Mark Askin(Louanne) of Richmond KY, and Marty Joe Askin(Ellen) of Nicholasville; two sisters Marlene Carl(Roger) of Brooksville KY and Marilyn Wagner(Kevin) of Cynthiana KY; nine grandchildren Kaity, Cody, Conner, and Jeremy Askin, Kyle Michael Istvanditsch, Aubrey Spencer, Zayden Cline, Kayden Everts, and David Everts; Also surviving one great-granchild Aaliyah Askin.
Funeral services 12:00 PM Thursday May 1, 2014 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jerry Shepard officiating. Visitation will be 6-9 PM Wednesday. Burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with full military rites by Caswell Saufley Post #18 American Legion.
Pallbearers will be Cody Askin, Nathan Carl, Justin Wagner, Kevin Napier, George Archbale, and Ross Bridges.

Interment: Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville KY
