Mae Cornelius Obituary

Mae Cornelius,80, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Stanford Care and Rehabilitation in Stanford KY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil. Mae was born on December 6, 1937 in Lincoln County to the late Frank and Viola Lay Shearer. Mae was a dietician for Garrard County Hospital for over 34 years. She was a member of Stanford Church of God.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Cornelius of Lancaster and Tony Cornelius of Stanford.

Mae was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Cornelius; a brother Jesse Shearer; and three sisters, Jean Coppage, Emarine Cox, and Josey Phillips.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Harness officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Sunday.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Anthony Cornelius, Cody Cornelius, Hunter Cornelius, Donnie Patterson, Gary Phillips, and Ron Stephens.
