Linda Joytene Hasty

Linda "Joytene” Hasty, 73, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday June 17, 2018 at her home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, EJ.  Linda was born on April 26, 1945 in Mercer County, KY to Marvin and Ada Browning Peavler of Danville. 

Linda was a hairdresser for many years. She was the co-owner of Hasty's Grocery with her husband EJ, where she always put a smile on the face of her customers. 

She was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. 

Along with her parents, surviving are two sons, Kardell Morris and Kaywood Morris (Tammy) both of Lancaster; a daughter, Lynea Major (Jason) of Lancaster; a brother, Roger Peavler of Danville; a sister, Marvina Cocanougher(Gary); and seven grandchildren: Dalton Morris, Luke Major, Karson Morris, Karli Morris, Adria Major, Mya Morris, and Kole Morris.

Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral and burial will be private for the family.

Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Tony Lawless, Roger Peavler, Jason Major, Luke Major, Dalton Morris, Cayden Stumbo, Karson Morris, Kole Morris, Mya Morris, Adria Major, Karli Morris, and Gary Cocanougher.
