Lewis Christopher, 80, of Kirksville, Kentucky passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. He is survived by his loving wife, Ella Mae.
Lewis was born on October 11, 1937 in Rushville, Indiana to the late William and Nora Lanham Christopher.
He was a member of Kirksville Baptist Church and was currently attending Gilberts Creek Baptist Church. Lewis was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Along with enjoying watching sports, he liked gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
Also surviving is a son, Bobby Foster(Linda) of Kirksville; daughters, Sharon Foster of Richmond, Michelle Reynolds(Ross) of Richmond, Fredia Peyton(Mike) of McKinney, and Diane Schleiger(Bill) of McKinney; a brother, Charlie Christopher(Carol) of Lancaster; a sister, Judy Abner (Mike) of Indianapolis; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lewis along with his parents is preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Christopher.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Browning, Bro. Butch Pennington, and Bro. Dennis Hisle officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday.
Burial will be at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Mark Lanham, Ray Smith, Jerry Smith, John Smith, Bobby Foster, and Charlie Christopher.
Honorary pallbearers are Billy Lanham, Barry David, Holton Howard, Donnie Howard, and Marylin Howard.
