Judy Woodard

Judy E. Woodard, 68, wife of Robert "Zeke" Woodard of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 at her home after a long illness. Judy was the daughter of the late Velma Merrick of Casey County. She was also preceded in death by her son, Sgt. Brandon S. Johnson, U.S Army 82nd Airborne Division,and a brother, Billy Merrick.

She is survived by her two sons, Travis (Christine) Johnson of Harrodsburg, KY and Bryon Johnson of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Riley and Brandon Johnson of Harrodsburg, KY. Also surviving is her best friend and caretaker, Rebecca Hager, of Lancaster, KY, one very special cousin who was always like a sister, Elizabeth Lewis of Lebanon, KY and one brother, Randy Porter, also of Lebanon, KY.

Along with many other cousins and friends, Judy also left behind her beloved dog, Spunky.

Judy was an avid reader and enjoyed working in her flower garden and loved all animals. She was a member of Gods Landmark in Lancaster, KY

Funeral services will be 7PM Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Ollie Wicker and Bro. Greg Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7PM at the funeral home.

In honor of Judy, per her request, that in Lieu of Flowers, donations be made to the Garrard County Animal Shelter.
