James Crowe, 27, of Nicholasville, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home. He was born on January 19, 1992 in Lexington, Kentucky to Michael Douglas and Glenda Mae McKinney Crowe.
James worked at Hensley’s Carpet. James loved the the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, camper and hiker.
Along with his parents, James is survived by his loving Fiancé, Amy Hicks; three children, Gage Hicks, Wesley Hicks and Lexie Hicks; three brothers, Greg Crowe, Gary Crowe and Michael Crowe all of Lancaster; five nephews, Christopher Crowe, Clay Crowe, Dallas Crowe, Clint Crowe and Chunkers Lilley; three niece, Kailee Sexton, Gracie Lilley and Sarah Crowe; paternal grandfather, Homer Crowe (Barbara) of Richmond; maternal grandmother Ida Burus of Lancaster; and maternal step grandfather, Bruce R. Mastin.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Henson and maternal grandfather, James McKinney.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home in Lancaster. Burial will follow at Pentecostal Fellowship Church Cemetery in Lancaster. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Crowe, Greg Crowe, Mark McKinney, James Collins, Mark Drury and Eric Himes.
Honorary pallbearers are Lucas Hensley, Gary Crowe, Cody Morgan and Jovanny Blanco.
