Glenn Marcum

Glenn Marcum, 88, of Owenton, formerly of Danville, KY passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Danville, KY. He was born on June 12, 1930 in Lexington, KY to the late Chester and Maude Miller Marcum. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma Jean Lewis Marcum.

Glenn served proudly in the Navy, was the camp ranger at Boy Scout Camp McKee in Mt Sterling Ky., a beautician at Arista Beauty Salon in Danville, KY for many years. He owned and operated the Bryantsville General Store for numerous years and volunteered for the Camp Dick Fire Department.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe B. Marcum and along with his two sisters, Nellie Sims, and Doris Gibson.

Surviving are two sons, Joey Marcum (Carla) of Corbin, KY and Tim Marcum (Beverly) of Owenton, KY and two grandchildren, Seth Marcum and Ashton Marcum.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Julian Wrenn officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel. 

Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Pallbearers are James Morris, Tim Morris, Jack Watts, Andy Reynolds, Brandon Potts, and Seth Marcum.
