Frank Moberly, 91, of Woodland Ave. Lancaster, died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville KY. He was preceded in death by his wife Verlinda.
Frank was born in Garrard County KY on January 15, 1923 to the late Hugh and Pearl Teater Moberly. Frank served in the United States Navy Amphibians in both the Atlantic, and Pacific Theaters in WWII. He was a lifelong farmer, and worked as a security guard at Whirlpool in Danville KY for many years.
Surviving is a daughter Judy Wall of Lancaster, and a grandson Joey Wall also of Lancaster. Frank was preceded in death by a sister Mae Moberly Metcalf. Funeral services 11:00 AM Friday March 28, 2014 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Odis Clark, and Rev. Erwin Ben Ray officiating. Visitation 6-9 PM Thursday. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery, with full military rites by Caswell Saufley Post #18 American Legion.
Active pallbearers are Arnie Akers, Ricky Ballard, Danny Burton, Charlie Christopher, Johnny Grubbs, Wayne Burkhart, JR. Gilliam, George Gilliam, Tim May, Harry Howard, Mike Preston, and Don Rinthen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Scotts Fork Christian Church.
