Frances Ruble

Frances Arnold Ruble, 97, of Lancaster, passed away November 10, 2018. 

Frances was born in Garrard County on February 14, 1921 to the late Walter T. and Ella Hagan Arnold. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, W.P. Ruble. 

She took great pleasure in serving Garrard County third graders as her role of teacher for many years. After retirement, she contributed to the community through various board and charitable endeavors.  Her heart was always in the United Methodist Church, being a life-long leader of Bryantsville United Methodist and in her later years an active member of the Lancaster United Methodist congregation.  

Frances is survived by one daughter, Sharon May (Mark) and one step-daughter Barbara Ruble-Linkroum (William).  She is also survived by siblings, Hogan Arnold, Cecil Arnold and Pauline Hullett.  Her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Lesley May, Rachel Ruth (Ben), Samantha Miller (Jeremy), William (Suzanne) and Kevin (Sophie) Linkroum, Hagen Miller, Damaris Ruth, Mercer McElroy, Skye, Charlotte and Adam Linkroum will miss their Nanny very much.

She is preceded in death by brothers, Andrew Arnold, Walter Lee Arnold, A.T. Arnold and Drennan Arnold and sisters, Louise Edwards and Claudine Arnold.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 11 am.  Reverend Bill Arnold and David Terry will officiate, followed by burial in Lancaster Cemetery.  Visitation is Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home. 

Pallbearers will be Jerry Edwards, David Arnold, Ben Arnold, Danny Arnold, William and Kevin Linkroum and son-in-laws. 

Honorary pallbearers will be the Ladies from the Tuesday Morning Bible Study at Lancaster United Methodist Church.
