Earl Napier, 55, of Garrard County, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his home. He was born in Lincoln County on July 19, 1964 to the late Raymond and Nora Elizabeth Tankersley Napier. Earl is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Carman Napier.
Earl worked for the Garrard County Road Department and was also a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. Earl loved hunting, working on his farm, and watching his daughters play basketball. He was their greatest coach. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
Along with his wife, Sheila, Earl is survived by two daughters, Sydney Hollan-Napier (Jessica) of Stamping Ground and Devin Napier Henslee (Aaron) of Priceville, Alabama; five sisters, Brenda Ratliff of Stanford, Deborah Saylor (Anthony) of Stanford, Catherine Young of Danville, Shelia Ann Napier of Stanford, Norma Hopkins (Barry) of Crab Orchard, one brother, Terry Napier of Stanford; and two grandchildren, Kylee Collins and Jayden Collins.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Saylor, Barry Hopkins, Jessica Hollan-Napier, Kenneth Creech, Douglas Carman, Greg Carman and Troy Marksbury.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Aaron Henslee, Terry Napier, Phillip Lamb, Jeremy Lamb, Christopher Young, Jenna Hopkins, Hayley Hopkins, Hannah Jacobs, Gracie Carman, Ezra Lynn, Elan Carman, John Wilson, Kenny Kinnard, James Davidson and David Walton.
