Helen "Darrell" Long Rhodus, 87, of Lancaster, passed away September 5, 2018 at Landmark of Lancaster. She was born May 26, 1931 in Garrard County to the late Roy Clay and Ora Davis Long. Darrell was preceded in death by her husband, Woody Rhodus.
Darrell was the Director of Medical Records of Garrard County Hospital for many years and a member of Antioch Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Mickey Rhodus (Tammy) and Steve Rhodus (Debbie), both of Lancaster; grandchildren: Daniel Rhodus (Nannie), Kristen Rhodus Hood (James), and Courtney Rhodus; great-grandchildren: Harper Hood, Hadlee Hood, and Caleb Rhodus; and best of friends, Tina Montgomery and Billy Jean Davis.
Funeral services 2PM Friday, September 7, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Val McCord officiating. Burial in Lancaster Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6-9 PM and Friday, September 7, 2018 from 8:30AM-2:00 PM.
Pallbearers are Michael Davis, David Simpson, Daniel Rhodus, James Hood, Keith Bethel, Karl Bethel, and Mike Tracy.
