Crystal Sweet Obituary
Crystal Sweet, 91, of Lakeside Dr. Lancaster, passed with angels on Tuesday April 8, 2014 following cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Lillie Lohrbach(WI); her husband Wilbert'Bill'Sweet(WI); her son Michael Sweet(TX); and her son-in-law Jim Dawson(KY).
Crystal is survived by her daughter Sue Dawson of Lancaster KY; daughter in law Rosemary Sweet(MN); grandchildren Matt Sweet(Christine)(MN), Chris Sweet (Dawn)(OK), Stephanie Sweet Kreutzberg (Steve)(AZ), Bill Sweet(Ginny) (TX), Cindie McArthur (Dave)(AZ) and Mark Dawson(FL); eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and her life long best friend, and cousin Beatrice Klein(WI).
Crystal was born in Green Bay, WI and was a true to green-and-gold as a passionate Packer fan. She and Bill met as children at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay, WI and lived most of their 44 year married years in Appleton, WI. They enjoyed square dancing, and traveling around the country in their Airstream trailer. Crystal started a late career as a hospital, and clinic LPN and later spent many hours as a hospital volunteer.
She was beautifully creative with painting, sewing, and ceramics. Her positive attitude was infectious('Make the most of whatever you get') and her Love for our Lord Jesus Christ, and for her family, and friends was deep and generous. She was formerly a member of Living Christ Lutheran Church in Flagstaff, AZ where she lived for 15 years, and then a member of First Christian Church in Danville, KY where she has lived the past 5 years.
Funeral services 11 A.M Friday April 11, 2014 at First Christian Church in Danville, KY, with Rev. Jerry Shepard officiating. Visitation 10-11 A.M at the church.
A graveside service will be 2 P.M Monday April 14, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano, WI with Rev. Larry Lange officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heritage Hospice 120 Enterprise Dr. Danville KY, 40422; Hospice at Cherry Meadows 2600 S Heritage Woods Dr. Appleton, WI 54915; Northland Hospice 452 N Switzer Canyon Dr. Flagstaff AZ 86001; or Aserca Hospice Care, 1294 Lombardi Ave. Green Bay WI 54304.
