Cleo Rice Linton, 82, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2014 at Christian Care Center in Lancaster KY. She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Linton who were united in marriage on August 8, 1957. Cleo was born March 9, 1932 in Lancaster KY to the late Morris and Marailda Harlan Rice. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and a dedicated usher. Cleo worked at corning glass, Garrard County HS cafeteria and Jake Jacobson Furniture.
Surviving is three daughters Patricia Penix(Willliam) of Harrodsburg, Donna Hocker(William) of Lancaster, Hattie Evans(Carl) of Lafollette Tennessee; one son Albert Linton(Tina) of Dayton Ohio; fourteen grandchildren; Nineteen great-granchildren, one niece Delois(Dee) Welch; and two nephews Glen David, and Antonio Smither; one brother in law George Hudson, and a host of cousins and friends.
Cleo was also preceded in death by a son Morris C. Linton, a daughter Bonnie Sue Rice, a step-son William L. Linton Jr., step-daughter Barbara Ray, and two brothers Mack Cunningham, and John L. Burton.
Funeral services 1 PM Saturday April 12, 2014 at First Baptist Church with Rev. David McPherson officiating. Visitation 6-8 PM Friday at the church. Burial in Duncantown Cemetery.
Active pallbearers are Lamont Linton, William M. Penix, William J. Linton, Antwoine Linton, Cody Linton, and Chris Linton.
Honorary will be Gary McPherson, Caleb Merritt, and Stevie Baker

Interment: Duncantown Cemetery, Lancaster KY
