Bobby Joe Thompson, 77, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday December 4, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bulah Lucille Thompson. Bobby was born on January 30, 1941 in Flat Rock KY to the late Joe and Mable Dick Thompson.
He served our country honorably in the United States Army.
Bobby retired from McLane Company after 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, riding 4- wheelers, and the outdoors.
He was a member of Gods Landmark Worship Center in Lancaster.
Surviving are three sons, Christopher Brown(Rhonda) of Florida, Joe Brown(Barbara) of Stanford, and Marshall Thompson(Christy Joe) of Lancaster; two daughters, Nancy Matherly(Jimmy) of Harrodsburg and Crystal Thompson(Jason) of Lancaster; siblings Terry Thompson of Marshes Siding, Danny Thompson(Trish) of Covington, David Thompson of Marshes Siding, Patricia Stephens of Albany, and Mary Potter(Dennis) of Lancaster; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a granddog, Suzie Q.
Along with his wife and parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a daughter Charmaine Coffey; a brother, Marshal Thompson; and two sisters, Thelma and Joann Thompson.
Funeral services 11:00 AM Friday December 7, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Noe officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time.
Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, KY .
Pallbearers are Jason Butler, Bryan Browning, Adam Brown, Joseph Morgan, Scott Miller, and Dustin Miller
