Alva Pittman

Alva Toomey Pittman, 83, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday April 9, 2019 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Alva was preceded in death by her husband, George Toomey. 

She was born on July 21, 1935 in Wayne County, KY to the late Bud and Stella Honey.

Surviving are daughters, Deborah Sebastian(Bill) of Lancaster, Rowena Faye Baker of Lancaster, Brenda Wright Napier(Keith) of Crab Orchard, and Barbara Brock of Lancaster; sons, Larry Wright of Indiana, Roscoe Honey(Laura) of Lancaster, and Ricky Pittman(Mary) of Jessamine County; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Vernon Calvin Wright; seven brothers, Ernest, Albert, Ira, VanRoe, Jim ,Vernon, and Porter Honey; She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ina, Mary, and Rowena Honey. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 15, 2019 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James McCarroll officiating.

Visitation will be 5-7 PM Sunday. 

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.
