Obituary for Robert Lee 'Spur' Moberly

Robert Lee 'Spur' Moberly, 84, of Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lee. Robert was born on May 29, 1933 in Madison County, Ky to the late Robert Sr. and Matilda Moberly. He was a lifelong farmer.

Also surviving is four sons, Ronnie Moberly(Christina) of Lancaster, Gilbert(Dukie) Moberly of Richmond, Charles Coffey Sr. of Junction City, and Billy Coffey Jr.(Diane) of Nicholasville; five daughters, Janice Durham, Donna Boyd, Janet Coontz, Mary Ann Miller, and Barbara Baker all of Lancaster; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by two daughters, Anna Broughton and Debra Hall, a brother Orbin Moberly, and a sister Faye Moberly.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, September 15, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Thomas King officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday.

Burial will be in Pentecostal Fellowship Church Cemetery in Lancaster.

Active pallbearers are Brandon Broughton, Bradley Baker, Jason Hall, Billy Coffey, Charles Coffey Jr., and Chris Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Gill, Manford Foley, F.C. Foley, Bobby Mills, Raymond Mills Sr., and Charles Coffey Sr.

5-8 PM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home

1PM Friday, September 15, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home

Interment:
Pentecostal Fellowship Church Cemetery in Lancaster, Kentucky
