Obituary for Joyce Jordon

Joyce Jordon, 70, of Garrard County, passed away, Thursday September 14, 2017 at Baptist Healthcare of Lexington. She was born on January 11, 1947 in Garrard County to the late James and Evelyn Denny Broughton. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond H. Jordon.

She was a caregiver and a member of the Paint Lick Church of God.

Joyce is survived by five daughters, Vanessa Abee (David) of Garrard County, Shelia Schulte (Steve) of Garrard County, Kathy Middleton (Tony) of Lincoln County, Hazel Talley (Mark) of Garrard County, and Evelyn Tudor (Tommy) of Garrard County; two brothers of Ricky Broughton and Jerry Broughton (Judy), both of Garrard County; four sisters, Valerie Walls (Wayne), Brenda Bryant (Maurice), Audrey Helton (Dallas), and Rita Hinds (Joe), all of Garrard County; a sister in law, Ilinda Broughton; twenty nine grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Broughton and sister in law, Rita Broughton.

Funeral services 10:30AM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andy Saylor officiating. Burial in the Jordon Family Cemetery in Garrard County. Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2017 from 5-9PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Ray McCollum, Bradley Abee, Isaiah Talley, Earl Abee, Jesse Abee, and Billy Lear.

Honorary pallbearers will be the granddaughters, Bethany Hampton, Destiny Hampton, Chelsey Abee, Kimberly Naylor, and Rebecca Allen.
