Obituary for Edward Lamb

Edward Lamb, 81, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, at Ft. Logan Hospital in Stanford, KY. He is survived by his loving wife Genevie. Edward was born on March 4, 1936 in Garrard County, KY to the late James E. and Ella Portwood Lamb. He was a construction worker, that worked with dynamite for many years. He enjoyed visiting the Garrard County Stockyards on many occasions, listening to bluegrass music, and had a love for the outdoors, including fishing and gardening.

Also surviving are three sons, Darrell Edward Lamb(Hallie), Jimmy Wayne Lamb(Donna) and Robert Earl Lamb(Kelly) all of Lancaster; three brothers, James Lamb(Irene) of Preachersville, Roy Lamb of Nicholasville, and Curt Lamb(Tammy) of Crab Orchard; four grandchildren, Amanda Ward, Daniel Lamb, Dustin Lamb, Ethan Lamb; four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Ward, Kayden Ward, Elijah Lamb, and Jack Lamb.

Edward along with his parents was preceded in death by five sisters, Johnetta Irvin, Mildred Johnson, Edna Mae Shelton, Lilly Lamb, and Alice Wrenn.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Leon Thomas and Bro. Billy Bryant officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday.

Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Active pallbearers are Dusty Lamb, Daniel Lamb, Ethan Lamb, Kayden Ward, Rodney Ward, Amanda Ward, and Jasmine Ward

Honorary pallbearers are Phil Cloyd, Willie D. Lamb, Charlie Brummett, Shelby Hopkins, John Bryant, Roy Lamb, and James Lamb.
