Obituary for Daryl Glenn Woodrum

Daryl Glenn Woodrum, 55, of Lexington, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Mansfield Hospital in Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra. He was born on September 14, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Harold Lee Woodrum and Mildred Lane Manuel. Daryl was in the 20th Special Forces Group, where he served in Desert Storm, Iraq, and Afghanistan. He was a language Intel linguist. He spoke 13 different dialects of the Arabic language. He received many decorations and on the 8th day of January, 2010, he was the recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.

Also surviving are two sons, Leonard Probasco II (Ashley) of Florida, and Kevin Woodrum of Lancaster; three daughters, Amanda Smith (Adam) of Shelbyville, Krysten North of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Maribeth Woodrum of Lexington, Ohio; two step-sons, Austin Brownewell (Brittney) of Mansfield, Ohio, and Keith Brownewell of Mansfield, Ohio; two brothers, Lee Woodrum, II (Patricia) of Ohio and Kevin Woodrum of Tennessee; a sister, Amy Lynn Pike of Stanford, KY; and three grandchildren: Anna Smith, Isabella Probasco, and Olivia Probasco.

Funeral services are 11:00 AM Friday, December 15, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Graef officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service time.

Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
