Obituary for Calvin C. Walton

Calvin C. Walton, 81, of Nina Ridge, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Martha Ballard Walton. Calvin was born on June 18, 1936 in Garrard County to the late J.T. and Christina Lane Walton. He was a lifelong farmer and worked at the Garrard County Stockyards for many years. Calvin was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Along with his wife, he is survived by three sons, David Walton of Lancaster, Jerry Walton(Sandy) of Lancaster, and Barry Walton(Teresa) of Lancaster; a brother Jake Walton; seven grandchildren, Jamie Walton(Aberiel), Steven Walton, Lance Walton(Rachel), Calvin Walton Jr., Ashley Ramsey, Ashley McQuery, Jessica Alford; and nine great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Bennie Walton and Jimmy Walton and a sister, Wanda Valentine.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Andy Saylor officiating. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday.

Burial will be in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick.

Active pallbearers are James Davidson II, Jamie Walton, Lance Walton, Calvin Walton Jr., Curtis Lear, and B.J. Quinn.

Honorary pallbearers are Parker Walton, Roger Walton, and Jeff Walton.
